In a protected area nestled between the Dordogne and Vézère valleys (less than 20km from Sarlat), this property, available for rent as a single unit, comprises three restored sheepfolds (restored in 2009) with a lovely private swimming pool, all set on a 2000m² plot facing southwest with very little overlooking. The property ideally accommodates 6 people and offers up to 8 additional beds. All three sheepfolds are available for rent together. The swimming pool is not shared and is exclusively reserved for the occupants of the 3 sheepfolds. The first sheepfold includes: the kitchen, the dining room, a double bedroom with a sloping ceiling, and a shower room with WC. The second includes the living room, a bedroom with two single beds, and a mezzanine with two single beds. The third is a master suite with a double bedroom, a shower room with WC, and a terrace. The peaceful location, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, makes it an ideal place for those who enjoy relaxation, hiking (on foot, by bike, or on horseback), and discovering the heritage of this magnificent region. Water sports enthusiasts will be delighted by the 10x5m swimming pool and the opportunities for canoeing down the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Our sheepfolds, located between the Vézère gorges and the Dordogne valley, are ideal for discovering the beauty of the Périgord Noir. The Vézère valley not only offers a wild setting perfect for canoeing, swimming, or fishing, but is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site for the numerous prehistoric sites discovered there, particularly the Lascaux caves. The nearby town of Les Eyzies is even known as the world capital of prehistory. On the Dordogne side, numerous fortified villages perched on the hillsides are worth a visit, including Limeuil, La Roque-Gageac, Beynac, Domme, and Castelnaud, to name just a few of the most well-known. The Dordogne Valley is also recommended for those who enjoy swimming, canoeing, and other river trips in gabarres (large, traditional flat-bottomed boats), as well as for those who would like to discover it from a hot air balloon. The Périgord region is also sunny and verdant, with hundreds of castles to explore and charming towns like Sarlat and Bergerac. Of course, to talk about the Périgord is also to mention its renowned gastronomy (foie gras, goose and duck confit, Manchons, etc., and wines from Monbazillac, Bergerac, Pech Charmant, etc.), so well represented in the local markets. regional or local restaurants...
