About this house rental
It’s the perfect place for families or couples who love nature but don’t want to miss out on being close to town.
One of the two living rooms is very large and features a double bed behind a stylish folding screen (Spanish wall), in addition to the sleeper sofa in this room (see photos).
This charming vacation home in Hünenfeld tells the story of times gone by and is a very special place for me, Elisabeth von Schaewen.
I grew up here myself, and together with my husband Andreas, I’ve put my heart and soul into modernizing it over the past few months.
With its traditional elements and peaceful, rural setting, it offers an authentic atmosphere where you can experience the region’s unspoiled charm.
We are very excited to now share the tradition of this house with you as our guests.
Since I grew up here, I know the area very well. Particularly noteworthy are the numerous beautiful walking trails and the forests surrounding Hünenfeld.
Hünenfeld’s main street lies along the route of the Way of St. James for
pilgrims traveling to Trier. Since the summer of 2008, the so-called Mosel-Camino—part of the St. James Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de Compostela—has been fully marked from Koblenz-Stolzenfels to the Benedictine Abbey of St. Matthias in Trier along an extremely varied and charming route.
As a small, tranquil village near Waldesch, close to Koblenz, it offers a great starting point for excursions, castle and palace tours, hikes, boat trips, and wine testings.
Whether you’re seeking the tranquility of the forest or want to explore the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, an UNESCO World Heritage Site—our home is the ideal retreat for your journey of discovery.
We look forward to welcoming you in person soon in the beautiful Vorderhunsrück!
Yours, Elisabeth von Schaewen and Andreas Sandek-von Schaewen
