Our stay at this beautiful, small, family owned bed and breakfast in Ella was an absolute perfection.We felt like part of the family from the moment we arrived ! The property is fairly new, exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained and offers all the amenities one would require during their stay. It offers spectacular views of Ella's lush green tea gardens right from the door step. The misty mountain views are not necessarily neighbours but close by! The breakfast spread was delicious and fresh! A massive bonus is them having their own tuk tuk, it makes local sightseeing incredibly easy and stress free ! They made sure we caught the famous train passing at nine arch right on time ! The family members are some of the kindest, most welcoming people we have met ! Always smiling and ready to help ! Our bus to Colombo was running a bit late but uncle made sure he stayed back till we hopped onto the bus ! Highly recommend this stay for your stop over in Ella !
Not necessarily a dislike but worth mentioning-The property is located uphill and requires a small hike, (about 120m). Arriving with heavy luggage might be a bit challenging. They do offer tuk tuk service for the transfer but the last bit of the hill still needs to be covered by foot as it is quite steep!

We hebben al verschillende mooie accomodaties gehad maar dit was echt de meest fantastische lokatie. De enorme gastvrijheid van de familie en het heerlijke ontbijt.Een eigen huisje tussen de thee plantages ,weg uit de drukte midden in de natuur . Het is trendy ingericht en brandschoon. Vader bracht ons zelfs weg 2 uur rijden naar Yala omdat pick me ons gecanceld had.
Echt een aanrader. Wij hebben nog een beetje heimwee.

We were more than surprised by our stay at Leafveil Ella. The hospitality was great, the rooms were clean and the views were lovely. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choices. This is a great base for exploring Ella and is very peaceful too. We loved it here and would come back in a heartbeat.❤️

Clean rooms , helpful and friendly staff. Location was perfect.The food was really delicious.the view was also beautiful .
