The Cozy Stays Hackney House

It was very comfortable, great location, excellent value for the price. The staff was very helpful and professional.

The owner/host was delightful. You can tell that they take pride in this home as a comfort to travelers and a wise business investment. The price is fantastic. I did speak to the owner about some of my concerns. (please read below) and he was very receptive.

The pictures seemed misleading as to size. The room I stayed in on the lower ground floor, with a twin bed, was 65 ft.². TINY! The bed was fine for one night, but you could feel the metal springs. I asked for a replacement pillow before I checked in and was told it had been changed out, but it was simply covered with a clean white pillowcase. Very flat, very thin, not clean. I knew there was a shared bathroom, however, there are changes that need to happen to make that work better. I soaked my socks, walking into the bathroom, not knowing someone had showered and the thick/fluffy bath mat was wet. There are no paper towels in that bathroom so the first time I went in I was doing the “shake – dry.“ Finally, the stairs need to have railings for safety. Walking down, I caught my foot on the top tread and fell on my BU**. Massive bruise on my person. The shared kitchen was cozy. I was encouraged to help myself to fruit and juice and milk in the fridge, but there was so much food belonging to others that the refrigerator was packed full I could not tell what was for common use. I did steal a splash of milk.
