    My wife and I needed last minute accommodation in the Dalston - Haggerston area of London. We booked 82a Dalston Lane the day before travelling, partly for its location and partly for the cost. It turned out to be ideal. We were sent a code for the front door lock and another to get the room key well in advance. The main entrance is up a small lane next to a pub but we felt safe and secure at all times. The room was small and quirky with superb facilities. The bathroom was perfect. It was clean and well maintained. There is a kitchen and dining area on the ground floor where guests prepare their own breakfast. There was an excellent range of teas, coffee, cereals, breads, cheeses, fruit, juices and other breakfast items. We were there for 2 days and the groceries were restocked each day. There was also a supply of beers and cocktail cans in the fridge, supplied by the owners. Guests are encouraged to not abuse this generosity. This turned out to be an excellent find and we will certainly return. Superb value.

    We enjoyed our stay here. The shared kitchen is so well stocked, we were very impressed and it made the start to our day super easy being able to have breakfast there. The room was quite small, but it is what it is in London! Staff was lovely and the whole place was very clean.

    DO NOT stay here - misleading pictures and description! I booked a room for my elderly father and it was a horrible experience. We arrived in the evening and the room was much much smaller than what was shown in the pictures, which basic utilities advertised (such as a wardrobe) completely missing.  After checking in and trying to call the owner with no avail for ~30minutes, I headed back home. He then called me to offer an alternative room, which I agreed to view the morning after since I already left and my father needed rest.  The morning after the room was already given to someone else. Additionally, no pictures were provided of the stairs which are clearly NOT suitable for people with mobility issues such as my father. I had to find my father a different accommodation and the owner refused any responsibility or compensation, claiming that everything was as advertised and the fault lied with the third party platform I booked with - when clearly the misleading pictures and description came from him.  I will now escalate this further and do everything necessary to get compensation. I hope this will help others to avoid the same mistake I made. DO NOT book here.
