The Shed - Cosy 2-bed flat with free parking - Close to City Centre

I went to Cardiff to attend my graduation. I needed a place near the Student Union so it would be easy for me to collect and return my graduation gown and take my graduation photo. This place was very convenient for it. It's also very close to a Sainsbury and to Lidl which made it convenient to prepare our own food.

The keybox was slightly easy to miss. The hallways werent the brighest and there were rocks so you kind of notice those and semi miss the key box. We didnt find a chopping board so we just bought one at Poundland. I am also not a fan of the bath tub but I do know that set-up is common in UK flats. The common area/hallway also smells like weed. The flat itself is clean though.

Top floor flat but we were provided with fans to make it was comfortable.

The location of the property was fantastic! If attending an event near Blackweir or the castle it is ideal walking distance. No need to worry about taxi etc. The locations was also good as parking spot available and some nice cafes nearby. The host was also excellent and very good at responding g to questions. The flat is self is a good size and was ideal for a quick one night stay.

The property is little dated and the hosts have tried to tidy this up but some parts of the flat are still tired like the bathroom in particular. The flat was also very warm as it’s on the top floor. More ventilation or fans needed to make it more comfortable. The flat is part of a communal building and we felt that the front door should be locked not just a door to the flat you are in. The ground door enables anyone to walk in and I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I was staying there by myself but fine if a small group of you. It would be wise to look into this to make it a little more secure.
