Annecy Old Town Loft

I've spent 4 nights staying at the loft, while traveling alone in Annecy, during the animation festival season. It was a new listing when I booked. I was a little bit hesitant since there was no review yet. But my hesitation washed away since my first communication with Lucas & Lorenzo. They answered all my questions and request immediately with clear instructions. My arrival was an hour later than their check in window time, but I kept communicating and Lucas was standby to make sure that I knew he was still waiting in front of the property. I checked in safely and found the loft is fully equipped and a good functional kitchen and bathroom. It has aestethic design (just like the pictures), as well as a comfortable sofa and bed. I found salt and oil in the kitchen, so I don't have to buy a full pack of them for only 4 nights stay. A complementary mineral water and a canned drink in the fridge was also very thoughtful of them. I was not lucky that my visit to Annecy was during the heat wave. It was 39°C daily in Annecy. So the loft would feel quite hot during the day. If you are traveling from a tropical island like me and used to have AC on most commercial accommodation, please note that: homes in France are mostly without AC. Consider it before you book and complain. The two big windows each already equipped with thermal curtains. Opening the window when the air already feels cool during the evening, and closing the window before the heat comes during mornings; this routine helped me to sleep comfortably. It was still hot during the day, but I skipped that time of the day by always out and enjoying the festival. The location of the loft is very special. It is in the heart of the old town and around 5 minutes walk to the lake. If you come for the animation festival, it's a 3 minute walk to the bonlieu - the center of the festival. Sometimes I would walk to the loft to take a cool shower, before continuing my activity at the festival.
