Villa Anita Breathtaking Lake Como Views

Both villas have the most glorious view of the lake, so if you want that - it's here. You can sit on the balcony or in the kitchen or almost anywhere else in the property and get the view. Simone was friendly and helpful, and even supplied us with limoncello and Prosecco. We liked her. Easy train access to Varenna. Ferry access is solid from the dock in the promenade (ten minute walk north).

This is where it gets tough. The two villas are old and they show their age. The plumbing needs work - the showers barely output anything and their drains are clogged (you will stand in a pool of soapy water and anyone who follows you will do the same). Washing machine doesn't work. The other issue is access (or lack thereof) - you will climb a LOT of stairs with your bags, so just be ready for that. No nearby parking, so I recommend trying the free temporary lot behind the station, which is just down the street.
