Tigh an Trá

We recently stayed in this beautiful 4-bedroom house on Whiddy Island and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The house is finished to an exceptional standard, with four spacious bedrooms, one en-suite, and a fabulous open-plan family room and kitchen. There's also a utility room, outdoor space, and a hot tub, making it the perfect place to relax. The location is ideal—just a five-minute walk from the harbour. The views across Bantry Bay are simply magical, and waking up to nothing but the sound of birds singing was incredibly peaceful. The kitchen is equipped to the highest standard, with everything you could need, including an oven and hob, microwave, air fryer, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine, washing machine, and even a stereo. Every bedroom has its own TV, and the house also has excellent Wi-Fi throughout. There are plenty of games available too, making it a fantastic choice for families with children and teenagers. Aileen and James are exceptional hosts. James kindly met us at the ferry, which was so appreciated as we had an elderly friend travelling with us, along with all our luggage. He also lit the hot tub for us, which the teenagers absolutely loved. Their warm hospitality really made our stay extra special. We'd love to keep this little treasure a secret, but it's simply too good not to share. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful getaway on Whiddy Island. We can't wait to return!
