Happiest of Memories

The house is so beautiful and in a fabulous location. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner outside everyday on the picnic table over looking the sea and Bantry Bay - HEAVEN!

The house is absolutely idyllic. The views are incredible. The only sounds are the sea and wildlife. The welcome is so warm. The local pub is friendly with incredible food and service. The best kept secret in Ireland 🇮🇪

Fantastic host, property and location

Everything was fabulous! Majella the host was outstanding, extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The generous welcome pack was so helpful to have and was really appreciated. The house was beautiful it had everything a person could need and more. We loved island life. The perfect place for time out. The views were breathtaking. The Bank pub was great to have so close and such a lovey friendly couple running it. We enjoyed everything about the house, island and the people. The ferry across to Bantry for dinner and drinks was great too. This really deserves a 10.

Exceptional hidden gem

Eileen's House was really well equipped and comfortable and spotless. We were welcomed at the pier by Majella who had organised transfer to the house. The welcome pack and consideration in relation to parking was so appreciated. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the scenery surrounding the house and it's Exceptional. Eileen's House is a gem. So good we stayed an extra night!

Lovely, relaxing wonderful holiday

We enjoyed staying at “Eileen’s House”. The house is very clean and equipped with all the necessities. It’s situated in a beautiful island. There was a passenger ferry which runs several times a day and it’s always on time. It was a novel experience staying at Whiddy island. We loved the peaceful and stunning atmosphere. Majella is a wonderful host, so kind and caring. The people we met there were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back to Eileen’s House.

The house was very comfortable and warm and nice big rooms. Majella was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us and always had a space left for us when we came back from day out. Tim took us to and from the property which was great especially when we arrived with all our stuff. Best little house and the kids loved it and didn't want to leave. Ferry came and left on time. Nice fire that we were able to light daily. Great walks and got wet doing it but didn't mind.

I loved everything so no complaints The kids loved how safe it was. The weather could have been better but didn't stop us from going fir walks around the islsnd. The only thing we didn't like was I only booked for 5 days. Didn't want to go home.

The wonderful welcome pack and the kindness and generosity of Majella. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and settled.

We were concerned about the tap water whether it was drinkable or not. Perhaps a toilet spray in the bathroom?

A little bit of paradise

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the island, and yet the kids were entertained with the water, walking and exploring. The hosts are excellent and will help with any queries. The island community we very welcoming, including the publican!

Peaceful and stress free

We loved everything, the property is full of character but unbelievably well kept and spotlessly clean. The whole experience was so peaceful and stress free and it really made our break away. This is the ideal place to unwind and relax. We loved every minute of it here.

Eileens house long weekend break

Beautiful house with wonderful views. Remote location but perfect for a quiet break away. Exceptionally clean,warm and comfortable. Majella and Pat the owners are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Travelling over to the island on the Whiddy Island ferry is very unique and enjoyable for all ages. Captain is very friendly and full of history of the island

The only downside was the stay wasn’t long enough..stayed for 3 nights but would’ve loved to stay longer.

Family friendly, fab house.

We were met by our host at the pier to get our keys. Majella is so friendly. It's a fab location for a different type of getaway. Ferry over is short and frequent. House is very nice and so clean. All mod cons and had everything we wanted...will definitely return. Our children loved it, as did we.
