We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is lovely, beautifully decorated, and has everything you could need. It has two small bedrooms and is perfect for three people. The high ceilings and plenty of natural light make the space feel very bright and welcoming. The staircase is a little narrow and the steps are somewhat steep, which might be an issue for some guests. We actually found it charming, as it is part of the character of this old townhouse and its traditional architecture. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. One thing to keep in mind is that, especially during the summer, the area can be quite lively and the nights may be noisy, as the surrounding streets are full of taverns and cafés popular with younger crowds. This wasn’t a problem for us at all and, in fact, we enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

Excellent location (if you can tolerate the noise) in barrio alto—appropriately named since everywhere you go from here will be downhill, with the necessary uphill return. It is such a cute and comfortably furnished and decorated apartment inside. It’s a corner apartment so you get excellent airflow from the open windows—necessary on warm days since it’s 2nd floor with no air con, just floor fan in each room.

It is noisy, and I mean as if you had laid your bed mattress right in the middle of a bar. There are young, loud, late (3 am+ on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday when I stayed) crowds out both sides of the apartment (see photo from my bedroom window). I stayed up until I was tired enough to sleep in the middle of that so I’m okay with it and would return, but just a warning to future customers. Closing the windows will reduce the noise just a little bit but then it’s too hot to sleep in summer. Check in is not until 16:00 and that is strictly enforced. I received the instructions for which door to enter and how to get in at 16:05 and wasn’t able to leave my luggage early
