Charming Flat

It is a charming flat, indeed, located right in the historic center of the city, so it is perfect for those in search for authentic portuguese vibe and interested to experience living in an old building, with the inherent limitations and constraints of such neighbourhood. The bathroom is redesigned as a hotel bathroom, with plenty of space to put your stuff and the shower cabin is top notch. The kitchen has everything you need, and if you want something fast, there's a small proximity fruits and vegetables store just underneath the kitchen window, at the ground floor.

However, this is not a place where to crash after making 20K+ steps per day and have a confortable, quiet rest! First and foremost there is NO A/C!! I need to stress this as I couldn't see this info in other reviews and this is a significant discomfort in the heat of August or September! I understand, they are not allowed to install wallmounted A/C in the historic center, to preserve the building facades, but there are other better options than ordinary fans, you know?!! The fans of the apartment above us, being placed on the wooden floor and running all night long, propagated strong vibrations through the ceiling that made sleep impossible in the master bedroom (which by the way is a dark, windowless, hot room). I could not use our fans, to just add more noise on top of that. A better option should have been to open the "windows" (in fact doors with fences, not balconies as they claim them to be!) to let cool air enter instead, but this solution generated 2 more issues: noise from outside getting inside unrestricted and the loss of privacy! The buildings in this area are packed very close to each other and the street pavement and sidewalks are all cobblestone and this amplifies every sound in the street ten fold so that you can hear every dog bark, every garbage truck that comes daily at 6 am, every drunk turist that sings Jingle bells at 3 am and every luggage trolley rolling as if they happen right in your bed. Sleep on that if you can! I can't! And also, if you open the windows, get ready to have the people in the building accross the street that's just 5m away from you look directly into your bedroom. Besides all that, the "windows" have no insect nets! The comfort conditions we had here: the heat, the noises from the street and neighbours, the stale smell that "welcomed" us when we arrived (from lack of ventilation) really made for a terrible stay. Will not make this mistake again.

It is located in the old town of Lisbon and everything is in a walking distance. You get a lot of outside light in the apartment due to three big french balconies. A good equipped kitchen.

Due to the good location it can get noisy at night, since, a lot of people walk through the streets and are talking. The bathroom sometimes also smelled like canalisation/mosh from the drain.

Posizione ok. I bolt e Uber non arrivano proprio lì sotto casa ma molto vicino. C'è anche la linea 25 del tram che serve bene la zona. C'è una bella salita da fare a piedi cmq. Lavatrice comoda.

I letti, cioè i materassi, sono da rinnovare. Non funzionare la luce in camera con letti singoli (brutti da vedere anche i lampadari). Kit di benvenuto praticamente inesistente (neppure una bottiglia di acqua in frigo)

O alojamento fica em uma região próxima a diversos pontos de interesse, é muito iluminado, arejado e bem organizado. A anfitriã foi muito gentil, e tudo estava muito limpo. Nós nos sentimos em casa.
