Barn Howe is a stunning home with magnificent views and three bedrooms including a super-king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, a double with Jack-and-Jill access to the bathroom and a twin. The Jack-and-Jill bathroom hosts a freestanding bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC, and there is also a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC and a ground-floor cloakroom with basin and WC. The living areas include a spacious kitchen/diner/sun room with TV, electric Aga, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, toaster, a handy utility with a washing machine, tumble dryer and extra basin, a sitting room with an electric fire and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Upstairs, there is also a study with a desk and musical keyboard. WiFi, fuel, power, a starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. A cot, highchair and stairgate are also available. Outside, there is off-road parking for up to five cars and a garden with a lawned area, patio, hot tub and furniture. Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement and at the owner’s discretion, but sorry, no smoking. Town: Levens is a small traditional Cumbrian village set on a high promontory in beautiful countryside and ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The village has a lovely old church, general store/newsagent and a pub. With excellent views of the southern fells across the Lyth Valley and the River Kent which flows below the village, Levens consists of a huddle of fine, stone-built traditional houses, cottages and barn conversions surrounded by unspoilt countryside, with varied flora and fauna and a nature reserve providing beautiful walking country. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall, with its superb topiary garden, are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay. Nearby Kendal is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. With other attractions such as Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park within easy reach, Levens provides a superb base for a relaxing break.
