Polbarrow

We had a spontaneous stay at Polbarrow and couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome! Cathy and Will were fantastic, friendly hosts and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The bedrooms were spotless, comfortable and beautifully kept. We ate locally and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’ll definitely be returning soon. Thank you so much, Cathy and Will, for making our stay so lovely!

Easy going with great hosts. It had everything I needed for a short stay and close to the South West Coast Path.

This place is a little Gem. Wonderful location, very comfortable bed. Owners were superb. Will come again.

Cathy and Will were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. The rooms were spotless with comfy beds, fresh, bright and tastefully decorated. Waking up to the sounds of children, chickens and dogs in the garden was a delight after the cacophony of traffic and aeroplanes of home. Close to the coastal path for beautiful walks. Across the fields, Lizard village was only 20 mins walk away. Kynance Cove a 15 minute drive. The food van at the campsite was very handy for those in our party who needed regular breakfast. The kettle and apples in the common area was also very welcome. (Suggestion: a small bin in this area might also be helpful.)

It wasn't a problem for me, in fact it was a part of the charm of the farm feel; however the "wet dog smell in the communal area may not be to everyone's taste. As the place is dog-friendly, this might be a bonus to some however. The narrow road leading to the farm could be a challenge when you met something coming the other way. (There are regular passing spaces.). Such roads are not however unusual for much of Cornwall. Cathy gave us excellent clear directions prior to arriving.
