Elegant 2 Bedroom Knightsbridge Mews House near Harrods

We picked up last minute booking to a stay in London and it was worth every penny. The host was friendly and responsive. The location is excellent, with Harrods just a short walk away.

We generally liked the house very much. Frankly, we were quite apprehensive because we would be the first to use it and we were traveling with two 5-year-old boys. The house is especially new, has two bedrooms located upstairs, a large and functional kitchen, a ground-level entrance, and a new generation LED TV – all advantages. Also, the location is right in the middle of South Kensington and Knightsbridge. Therefore, it's within a 10-15 minute walk of important landmarks such as Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Harrods department store. And it's about a 30-35 minute walk to other tourist attractions like Chelsea, Kensington Palace, and Buckingham Palace. The proximity to a supermarket and a good ice cream parlor is also important for families with children. Compared to other houses we stayed in during our previous European trips with children, I can say this was by far the best.

If we have to give a negative review, the steepness of the interior staircase might be a bit challenging if an elderly person is staying there, but this can be solved thanks to a sofa bed downstairs. And if you are traveling with children, there are quite a few fragile decorative items in the house; you can, as we did, put the fragile ones in the upper cabinets of the kitchen after spending some time on them. 😂 There is a portable air conditioner in the house for cooling and it works very well, but it would be good if there was one for the other room as well. And finally, the number of forks, spoons, and knives in the kitchen is a bit low, but I think the company can find a solution to this after my comment, because they responded positively to all our requests. In short, we thank Knightsbridge Apartments for making our trip easier.

We almost didn't book because we weren't sure a short let would work with 2 kids, but wow are we glad we did. The place was spotless when we arrived, like genuinely spotless, not just tidy and the interior is just beautiful. The kids were obsessed with it too, which says a lot. Hannah was brilliant from start to finish. Every question we had she came back to us within minutes, which takes all the stress out of travelling with little ones. Being able to walk to the Natural History Museum was an absolute dream. We went twice. Harrods was just around the corner too, which may have been dangerous for the wallet...
