Manderley Caravan

Clean and comfortable caravan with modern facilities to prep own food, pack ups and relax after a days exploring on a set back, quiet site. Located north of Newquay area within surrounding countryside. We used it as a base to explore beaches and other places of interest around Cornwall for the week as it was super hot and ideal for coastal town trips. We visited some lovely areas and beaches, swam in the sea and enjoyed road trips to parts of Cornwall as was centrally located for us to do this fairly easily. Caravan itself was located a short walk to an onsite shop for last min provisions. Had the amenities of an indoor and outdoor pool area closed by, to pay for use with basic, minimum seating around the pools. Some umbrella table seating outside the clubhouse for drinks/pub fast food in the evenings.This had a large indoor screen, so we were able watch 2 World Cup England matches when they played whilst we stayed, they kindly put it on for people staying on the site, and locals to enjoy with a beverage. Staff were friendly and worked hard when busy. It's's a fairly good location but there isn't much going on in the small area of Porth generally, plenty of parking, a few shops, take-away, 1 pub-The Mermaid, , beach access with lovely long beach and a good walk to the sea for a swim when the tide is out . .

It was too far to walk to the local Porth beach with all your gear as it was very hilly and along a county road. (Whipsiderry beach is closed due to rock subsidence) We walked to enjoy the sunset on the headland on our last eve, to say we had done it. . had a drink at the B&B hotel at the top and carefully back to the caravan park in the dark. We could have done with a fan in the caravan as it was a heatwave week. Also no blind in the kitchen, where the hot sun shone all day! There is no outside seating area outside/near the caravan which was a shame. The parking is a slight walk up or down slopes to limited spaces for your car. We managed once unloaded everything and we were out day tripping in the car most days until late evening.

A lovely caravan which was spotlessly clean. It had all the equipment there that we needed. We were in a perfect spot for the facilities we needed.
