The location was great for getting around the area

The beds were too soft and a bit uncomfortable. We were also surprised at how small the outside balcony was. The vegetation was also partially blocking the view.

The location of the property was excellent. With it being 5minutes from Newquay, you was more or less connected to all of the main roads to travel around. We visited Perranporth and St Agnes which was 20minutes away, Watergate Bay which was 5minutes away, Lanhydrock and Padstow which was 40minutes and Godrevy and Hayle which again, 45minutes away. All beautiful places in easy reach. The local town, Porth, was just down the hill as advertised. It was nice to sit outside the Mermaid and have drink on the beach! The keys where in a lock box which was easy to find and use. The garage was another plus point for me as it ensured our car was safe and not left on the road. The property itself was lovely and clean and spacious enough for 4 adults to be extremely comfortable without feeling under each others feet. The kitchen had everything needed with the cutlery, glasses, mugs, microwave, fridge and oven being spotless. The one bathroom and one ensuite where of a good size with powerful showers. Milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, toilet roll, washing up liquid, hand wash, shampoo, all the basic consumables where thought of and provided. Over the road from the property is a walk around the cliff face giving lovely views (see photos attached). However, the shining light above all this was the host Maria. My Dad was down for a 65th birthday treat and I had requested some balloons and cold alcoholic drinks to be in the property upon arrival which she happily arranged for us. There was also an issue with the main door (see below) which Maria sorted for us. I can not thank her enough as that could have been an extremely difficult situation to navigate.

Let me start by saying there was absolutely nothing wrong with anything during our stay. What happened was a freak accident which was fixed. Myself and my family got back to the property from a meal out at around 8.30pm to find the front door had jammed shut. By 9.30pm, Maria has sorted a locksmith to come, open the door and change the barrel (providing us with new keys). This was a Friday night so we could have been waiting a lot longer, maybe until the morning, but the speed it was sorted needs to be commended. Again, let me stress. This is not a negative on Maria or the property. It was a negative situation that was out of everyone's control.
