Fistral Court

The location was great as a central base for the places we chose to go in Cornwall. Newquay itself has character and a harbour and good beaches. The apartment is well laid out, with two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, and the decor is attractive. We managed to get our small car into the courtyard; it was great to get it off the road and not have to look for street parking. Jayne was very helpful and friendly during our stay, even quickly replacing a broken glass and providing extra towels.

The beds were much too soft for us. It seems the mattresses need to be replaced. It took a night or two to sleep comfortably in the beds, and the bed in the 2nd bedroom is also extremely low. Hanging or shelf space in the 2nd bedroom would also be an easy and effective addition, and a shelf unit could also be fitted into the bathroom, which would help a lot with toiletries, especially with three or four people occupying the apartment.

Perfect cosy accommodation, so close to the beaches! I cooked twice at the property and had everything you could need for cooking dinner. Upstairs is lovely and spacious and the bed was so comfortable ! Our dogs were so comfortable there they settled straight in. Lovely last minute find, would definitely stay again.

Finding the property and access into the property were good. General lay out of the property was ideal and the front bedroom and bathroom nice to look at. If it was just a couple who wanted to share the front bedroom staying I am sure it would have felt much nicer.

The courtyard at the back of the house was advertised as good to park your car, well if you had a FIAT 500 I am sure it would be, but to try and negotiate a normal sized car was hazardous to say the least. The glasses and general kitchen facilities and condiments were extremely limited. Both mattresses were not comfortable and the one in the back bedroom was so bobby it could be felt through the sheet and was not very clean when inspected. The window in the back room was also shut so it got very hot. Work being done in the main house meant we were woken every morning around 7:00am if not before, even on the Sunday! There was very little storage for clothes
