This is absolutely one of the most heartwarming cottages we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Pet and family friendly, it genuinely felt like a home away from home. Jennifer and her husband’s warmth and kindness truly made our Christmas something unforgettable — they went above and beyond, decorating the cottage with such love and festive cheer that it transformed the entire atmosphere into a magical Christmas wonderland. The cottage was immaculately clean and unbelievably cosy, providing a comfort that touched our souls. Each morning, waking up to the sight of gentle sheep and diligent working dogs was an absolute delight — a connection to nature that filled our hearts with joy. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked for next year. The scenery is nothing short of breathtaking, offering endless opportunities for peaceful walks, each one more inspiring than the last. This place isn’t just a getaway; it’s a soul-stirring experience that leaves you longing to return.

As others have said, the photos of the views really don't do this cottage justice and the description really can't express the peace. Weather wasn't great but we spent a day walking straight from the door and could have spent more time walking locally (maps and routes provided) had we not wanted to explore a little further afield. The cottage is a gorgeous old building and very private. We loved the living room and artwork within it. However, the rest of the cottage was a bit beyond 'rustic charm' and could do with a bit of time and money investing in it, something I realise is not easy when juggling the demands of upland farming.
