Excellent apartment well equipped and comfortable

Well appointed apartment in a good location. 10 minute walk into centre. Very comfortable stay. Welcome pack a nice gesture and the information pack was helpful. Ate in Adam's Kitchen one evening and would recommend. Food, service and ambience were excellent.

Wonderful

We honestly liked everything. Nice decor, lovely bad, fully equipped kitchen and a generous welcome basket with treats and snacks. All this very close to the city center yet in a quiet area. We could not wish for more.

Not the owner’s fault at all, but we got woken up by an alarm clock in the small bedroom at 6am which got us a bit startled because we didn’t know what was going on for a split second. Overall a fun episode to tell your friends but you might want to double check the alarms in all bedrooms before going to bed :)

* thorough instructions on getting there/how to enter * private parking space * clean and well presented close * well equipped kitchen * the complimentary drinks/snacks * full length mirror in main bedroom * iron/ironing board in cupboard * TV built into the bed frame (didn’t use but is a nice touch) * bay window in living room (view from this is lovely) * massive TV in living room with streaming services * ‘gay friendly’ section in guest information book * visitor book was a nice touch * flat felt safe and secure

* door had been left open by cleaner (we’re assuming) * a number of food products out of date * sponge on Dishmatic badly needed replaced * water dispenser on fridge was so mouldy the water wouldn’t come out * open bottles of diluting juice etc left in fridge from previous guests * duck feather & down pillows/duvet * no curtains in main bedroom which let in light * couches weren’t very comfy

Exceptional - far and away the best stay we’ve had from this site.

Exceptionally clean, welcoming and enjoyable to spend time both in and around. Location is quiet enough for relaxing but also in same block pub, take aways and general store to cater for all travellers. Handy for Main Street for even more amenities. River and hill views as well as leisure centre and nearest supermarket all within sight from cosy dining area in bay window space of living room. Perfect hosting, well over and above the general level of amenities and supplies were provided, and if struggle to choose between the hefty welcome basket or the TV bed as my personal fave features!

The property and whole experience Mike provides in anyway is impossible to fault. Staircase access isn’t ideal for all, but stone, spiral entries are typical of this type of property and the flat itself with its space, views and period features is well worth it. I myself suffer from arthritis and parking behind the flat cut out main climb, and just taking things slowly and steadily with handrail caused me little problem.

Well-appointed and comfortable apartment

Facilities, provision of snacks and juices plus a light breakfast. Very comfortable bed, roomy, modern lounge, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything thing had been thought of.

Very difficult to locate carpark, despite written instructions. Instructions said "Princess St" but it is in fact "Princes St". To find the street it would have helped to have a street number but perhaps there isn't one for the carpark. Had to park and walk to find the archway access. A few other points: because we arrived at the back of the property we didn't know the apartment was on the third floor, only on walking around the street to the front we found it is 3/3. Also, not enough lighting in the stairwell in the evening. Needs a hand-hold in the shower.

Wonderful short stay

Mike was really accommodating to us, we had a long drive early that morning to Hawick and we were able to check in a little bit early to get ourselves sorted for a family event that was starting at 2. The hamper was a really nice touch and the apartment had everything and more that you could need. Nice view of the river out the front window and great value for money.

Check out was at 11am but the cleaner just came walking into the apartment at 10:45 without knocking, thankfully we were just finishing up packing and not walking out of a shower. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, however, it's a bed where the tele comes out of the bottom, for me this was not a problem but my partner being 6ft4 this wasn't OK for him as he was too tall for the bed. That being said, this wouldn't put us off staying here again

Very clean & comfortable flat with a great view across Hawick, also the kitchen was very well equipped with a lovely extra touch of a basket of goodies to help yourself. Parking just outside on street. Would highly recommend if in or around this pretty borders area.

It is an exceptional experience to stay there with a great view from the living room.

The decorations was modern with a folderable tv at the end of bed. Snacks and drinks were provided. And the host Mike was easily approachable.

The people living downstairs used weeds the afternoon when we arrived. There is nothing the host can do with it. But I think if you have children, you might want to know this

A lovely place stay in an excellent location

Property was very well appointed- spotlessly clean, very modern and tastefully furnished. It was exceptionally well equipped, had everything you could possibly need. And a welcome basket with ‘goodies’ which went down well

The only downside was that the fish and chip shop two doors along was closed for holidays! We were so looking forward to a fish supper for dinner the day we arrived and had to order one to be delivered instead

The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos and spotlessly clean. There are lots of little personal touches that make it feel like a proper home and everything you could possibly need is catered for. We met with Mike who is a true gentleman and made sure we were happy with our booking.

Enjoyable 2 night stay away from husbands!

Well equipped kitchen. Nice welcome pack but also milk and bread with jam and butter packs in fridge. Not sure if things in cupboard were available to use! Large tv which luckily my companion was able to use as I wouldn't have a clue about, and no chance of using the one at bottom of bed! Very quiet and lovely view over any buildings of the countryside

The two flights of winding concrete stairs which I hadn't realised until the day before we were going. As two 70+ ladies and not very fit this would have certainly have made me think twice before booking. Carrying our bags up and down was not easy. I know the owner can't do anything about this, if anything it was too modern for me.
