Urban Chic Flat at Barlow House

The location and ease to get to underground. The property was clean and the beds comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. It was in a fairly quite area with a leisure centre across the road.

The lounge area only had seating for 2 on the sofa bed so the other two had to use the dining chairs. It was on the third floor with no lift and we weren't told this until we received the access information 24 hours before our trip. My husband is 81 and I am 78 and we had to carry cases up the stairs. The kitchen was minimally equiped for 4 people with no spare dishes for serving food. What was provided was of good quality and the pans were unused but unfortunately had aluminium bases and the hob is an induction hob so couldn't be used. Neither of the bedside lights had bulbs in them. The whole building was clad in scaffolding and we were woken every morning by workmen walking past, or even working by the windows. The owners must have known this was the case because a full refurbishment is being made by the Council and will take several months.
