A single-storey light and bright barn conversion on a working farm, this cottage makes the ideal rural getaway for two and their four-legged friends, with ramp access, a large wet room, and a wood burner. It''s perfect for relaxing in the enclosed garden, exploring the stunning local countryside in the Wye Valley and Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), and visiting nearby towns and attractions.
The spacious property has been stylishly designed and furnished to complement its original features. Go into the welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with windows and French doors running the length of the room, wooden floors and beams, and a high ceiling. The lounge area has comfortable sofas, a cosy wood burner, a TV, and lots of books to read. Next to it is the kitchen/diner with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals, and close by, there''s a king-size bedroom with another TV and great storage. There''s also a large wet room with a shower, and outside, you''ll find an enclosed courtyard with somewhere to sit and enjoy the setting, a BBQ for al fresco dining, and a large, enclosed lawn. There''s also secure storage for your bikes and outdoor gear.
Go for a stroll in Coed y Cerrig National Nature Reserve along the 0.5-mile long boardwalk through the woodland flowers, visit Llandegfedd Reservoir to go fishing, birdwatching, try a new water sport and discover the accessible pathways and trails (17 miles away). Set out on Offa''s Dyke footpath from your front door and go mountain biking or follow the accessible routes at the Forest of Dean (15 miles). For shopping, theatre trips, cafes and restaurants, Monmouth is only 4 miles away, and the lovely market town Abergavenny is nearby too (13 miles).
