This charming Cornish cottage, tucked away in a peaceful spot in St Columb Major, is perfectly placed for exploring some of Cornwall’s best-loved coastlines and countryside, ideal for a romantic couple’s getaway or memory-making family adventure.
Flooded with natural sunlight and adorned with coastal hues, the charming dining room that welcomes you into this home-away-from-home provides the perfect spot to enjoy your local fare with a glass of something chilled. The adjoining galley kitchen features wonderful country cottage style décor reminiscent of days past, as well as everything you need to get creative. At the heart of this bolthole, the cosy lounge boasts a wonderfully soothing neutral colour palette and homely touches everywhere you look; a gorgeous ornamental fireplace and beautiful sash windows embrace the rich history of the cottage. Upstairs, you’ll find two tranquil bedrooms, one king-size and one double, that provide an oasis of calm to retire to, with one of the bedrooms including a handy wash basin. Outside, the pretty courtyard garden is a serene spot for your morning coffee or a laid-back BBQ on sunny evenings. Parking is available in a nearby car park, less than 0.5 miles away.
The small town of St Columb Major offers a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, boasting a wonderful variety of independent cafes and local shops. Boarded by 7 miles of beaches, Newquay (7 miles) is a water sports paradise, with opportunities for surfing, sailing and swimming. From Newquay Harbour (9.5 miles), jump aboard a sea safari to Seal Cove to spot glimpses of dolphins and seals. Keen outdoor explorers can discover the breathtaking scenery of the South West Coast Path 5.5 miles away. The beautiful beaches of Harlyn Bay and Trevone Bay along the Trevose Headland can both be reached within 11.5 miles.
