About this cottage rental
Just a mile from the coastal village of Waxham this delightful farmhouse is surrounded by glorious countryside and makes a wonderful holiday retreat for families, couples and friends. Set on the north-eastern edge of Norfolk, the property offers fresh, spacious accommodation for up to seven guests, and features a welcoming wood burner, colourful living areas, polished wooden floors and a beautiful garden. Stylishly decorated, with elegant furnishing throughout, this lovingly updated retreat is perfect for walkers, beach lovers, nature spotters and cyclists eager to experience an unforgettable part of the county.
The large, refurbished lounge with oak flooring and underfloor heating offers a TV, an open fireplace and soft furnishings, providing a lovely space for watching a movie in the evenings. There’s also a stylish lounge/diner, again with a Smart TV, comfortable seating, and a welcoming wood burner, as well as a light-filled dining area perfect for family get-togethers. The airy kitchen has a wealth of equipment and a charming central breakfast table. The ground floor also features a shower room, boot room and a utility room with a pantry. Upstairs, there’s a refreshing family bathroom and four cheerful bedrooms decorated in light pastel shades: two doubles, a single and a super-king-size room. Outside, the garden occupies two acres and has a big lawn surrounded by flower borders and mature trees, with herb planters, a patio, large gas BBQ, outdoor furniture and even a small area of woodland. A wealth of wildlife can be spotted visiting the garden and surrounding fields including rabbits, hares, pheasants, buzzards and red deer.
The nearest beach is less than a mile away, with the coastal path heading north to Happisburgh, Eccles-on-Sea and Sea Palling, and south to Caister-on-Sea and Great Yarmouth, all within 15 miles. Inland, family attractions include BeWILDerwood Norfolk, East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden and Hickling Broad, all within 14 miles.
