A couple of miles away, Carsington Water offers walking, cycling, sailing, and plenty of opportunities for spotting local wildlife. Discover the charm of Tissington village and its elegant hall (6 miles), or head to Dovedale (10 miles) to cross the famous stepping stones and climb Thorpe Cloud for breathtaking views. History lovers will be spoilt with nearby Chatsworth House (12 miles) and medieval Haddon Hall (13 miles), both with grand interiors and beautiful gardens.
