The pod was amazing. Cosy, warm, clean and exactly what we were looking for this time of the year. Enough sockets to charge all electricts, cute bedside lamps for each bed and comfortable beds. HOT shower which is always amazing after long day :). Excellent for time with kids!! Swimming pool and great playground. Plenty of nature kids friendly walks nearby (dovedale stepping stones) and close to regular shops (10 minutes drive). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WE WILL BE COMING BACK 100%

Nice complex and location but the beds and mattresses were very poor and need changing

The complex itself had a lovely park for the kids and a good walking trail for dogs. Location to everything was good.

We stayed in the new bell tents and the bed frames and mattresses were so thin we all had a bad sleep. Even the kids complained ! Reported this to reception, they was grumpy and not very helpful. They could only bring another 2 thin mattresses out of 4 and even doubled up it was still awful to lie on which made us leave a night earlier.

Great experience, all in all. Just a few blips

The location was fantastic, the bell tent was spacious and clean, staff were fantastic, great food on site too.

The bell tent was on a slope and the bed was really uncomfortable, we did ask for an extra mattress that was immediately brought down to our tent, but it was still very uncomfortable Also we had porta loos by our tents, and in 3 days, they weren’t emptied, it was very busy and very hot, and as a consequence very smelly.

Wonderful camping pod and facilities, except for to the chemical levels in the pool needing sorting we couldn’t swim when we stayed but this may have been a one off. Playground and pork palm/chip van were great

Fabulous facilities and atmosphere

We recently booked a spontaneous getaway to Ashbourne and chose Ashbourne Heights holiday park as our home base. We opted for a charming Bell Tent for a two-night stay, and were blown away by the site's perfection! The Bell tent was an absolute delight, and the park's atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. The staff were warm, friendly, and eager to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is simply stunning, providing a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing weekend or longer retreat. Luckily, the weather cooperated, allowing us to unwind and recharge. The park's facilities are top-notch, including spotless and reliable shower facilities, an indoor swimming pool, and a convenient on-site shop. The shop's selection of snacks and beverages is impressive, although we'd love to see extended opening hours. A small burger service is also available, perfect for late-afternoon arrivals. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we can't wait to return! Ashbourne Heights holiday park has won us over with its unique blend of natural beauty, warm hospitality, and excellent amenities.

Good location and facilities on site

POD as described, good location

I took my own appliances as described, the slow cooker set the smoke alarm off, and no plugs near door, luckily I took an extension lead. Could be my error maybe that’s not the type of appliances it meant

Good facilities but not great service in reception and very uncomfortable beds

The facilities were good, it was clean, good swimming pool and decent playground for the kids

We booked 2 pods and I messages and asked to be next to each other. They placed us in 2 pods that couldn’t be further away from each other. As soon as we arrived we raised this as an issue and they said to check again the next day and they’ll sort us out. The next day the lady in reception just wouldn’t agree to move us even though the one of us had an empty pod next to us until the rest of our stay. No other complains except for the beds which were very uncomfortable. You’d expect something better for the price you pay! Probably wouldn’t go there again

Exceeded expectations.

Beautiful location, exceptionally helpful staff. We stayed due to proximity to Alton Towers but loved exploring the surrounding area. The onsite shop was convenient and not over priced. Already looking forward to a repeat visit.

Great value for money on a very pleasant site

Very clean, laid back, good value for money. Brilliant location. Had a lot more facilities than I thought we would have! Very child friendly with the park central. Not really got any complaints!

It was very clean and cute. Ideal little wooden “tent” saves the set up of your own.

Beds weren’t very comfy, couldn’t do more than a couple of nights on them. And i think they need fly mesh up at doors.

Perfectly located value for money stay near dovedale stepping stones

A quiet clean perfect location for walkers, value for money, on a safe site with all facilities you could ask for. Even and inside swimming pool, laundry room, a small shop, and plenty of parking we will be back P.s visit the coach and horses pub/restaurant which is half a mile from the site. A fantastic bar and restaurant where the chef must have previously worked for Gordon Ramsay!!

A little bit of luxury glamping!

The glamping pod was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and have an (outdoor) en-suite toilet and shower was real luxury. The pod was spacious and heated plus we also had the outdoor space too. We didn’t have time to use the pool but the playground and laundry facilities were great. Perfect location.

Weekend walkers

We enjoyed the pod format and the location of the site, near the Tissington trail with access to lots of walks. Having a swimming pool on site was good to make use of too. Old dog pub nearby was excellent.

It was warm in the pod at night, especially with plastic covered mattresses. A kettle and fridge could have been a bit more useful. The light sensor in the bathroom could have been set for longer in the bathroom.

A lovely spot to rest after long days in Alton Towers, very reasonable.

We had a great stay at Ashbourne Heights, we were in a pod. 2 bunk beds and a double bed, basic but really clean. Take fitted sheets with you as the flat sheets slide straight off the mattress. About 25 minutes to Alton Towers. The staff stayed late to book us in and were really helpful with where to get food and how much time to leave for the theme park. A lovely big new playground was a great hit with the kids. Plenty of USB sockets in the pod.

Fitted sheets on the beds would be the only thing I would change. It was all clean and well kept.

Lovely location and great facilities. We loved our short stay and will definitely come back. The pod would benefit a small fridge as it's difficult to keep anything cool as the pods get very warm in the sun. The mattress was also really uncomfortable and plastic topped.

Lovely place and very nice pods.

These camping pods are lovely. The location is superb and the staff were very helpful. It was great for us as we were attending a local wedding, so did not need much, but easier not to be in a tent.

It was not brilliant value for us, partly because I could not tell how large they were and ended up booking 2 pods as was worried our teens were too big to share it with us. It would have been tight, but actually would have been fine... so we probably should have managed with one and it would have felt much better value!
