Just 8 miles away is Alton Towers for a thrilling day out, while 5 miles in the other direction brings you out to the famous Stepping Stones at Dovedale and the Lover's Leap hiking trail. Also nearby is the impressive natural cavern of Thor's Cave (16 miles away). Children will love watching iconic species in the Peak Wildlife Park (9.5 miles), while those seeking a slower afternoon can take in the spectacular Italian Gardens at the National Trust's Ilam Park. Finish each day with a visit to Ashbourne's (2 miles) quaint cobbled streets, before stopping off for a homemade meal at one of the cosy inns or fantastic farm shops.

Enter this lovely, family-friendly holiday home and find yourselves in the charming lounge, where the welcoming wood burner and the TV create a restful space for cosy evenings together.
