There is so much more to see and do close by too, including walking or cycling along the Tarka Trail, a traffic-free route which runs through the village. Catch the seasonal ferry over to Appledore (or 6 miles by road) and explore its maritime history, or maybe book some surfing lessons at nearby Westward Ho! (6 miles), which again provides plenty of fine eateries and shops to enjoy.
