Instow itself possesses a multitude of charming beachside bistros across the plane of golden sands, whilst it also plays host to a wonderful playground for children and pets alike, particularly on those bright and early morning starts or sunsets. There is so much more to see and do close by too, including walking or cycling along the Tarka Trail, a traffic-free route which runs through the village. Catch the seasonal ferry over to Appledore (or 6 miles by road) and explore its maritime history, or maybe book some surfing lessons at nearby Westward Ho! (6 miles), which again provides plenty of fine eateries and shops to enjoy.
