The beautiful garden, the location so close to the castle, the cleanliness, the decor, the balcony, the view. I loved the secret access to the outer part of the castle grounds at the end of the garden. Pets were allowed which is an absolute must for us. The hot tub was clean and hot and in excellent working order. I liked the kitchen, the bathrooms and the comfy beds. Nothing was broken, shabby or in poor condition. Communication prior to our arrival was thorough and timely.
Access is slightly strange but fine and to be expected in an historic town, lack of dedicated parking but very clear instructions about where to park close by for free, so neither of those things were in any way an issue for us. everything else was brilliant.

This is located in central Barnard Castle city centre - do not worry, the house is well tucked off the main road, so no disturbance at all. The garden at the back is lovely with the hot tub. Very well provided instructions. As soon as you step outside the property, there are a raft of food joints, shops, chemist, grocery shop, etc. all within walking distance.

Great location, and facilities the property has free parking just down the hill and is ideally located for the shops and restaurants. It has a beautiful garden and we loved the hot tub - great value for money
