Location brilliant
Log burner broken no instructions 2nights cold at this time of year. Chose this because of the log burner Also road noise in bedroom with skylight windows very bad, no info for emergency services . But the barn had undfloor heating brilliant in other rooms.

What a beautiful property! It is clean, cosy, spacious and well equipped. The views are stunning, having the farm animals was a bonus as the children loved seeing them and the location is perfect - easily walkable into town.
There wasn’t anything we disliked.

Southview Barn is a perfect place to stay for anyone visiting this beautiful area. We used it as a base whilst walking part of the Tees Valley Way and it was ideal. Well positioned on the edge of Barnard Castle with exceptional facilities, privacy and comfort. Access was easy with ample parking space and the layout of the accommodation has been perfectly judged - highly recommend.
