Group of 8 for a 2 night stay. Location was perfect, free parking outside the property.
The owner is very responsive.
The house is lovely and well furnished.
Would definitely recommend.
The dishwasher was broken but we were informed in advance by the owner and it really wasn't a problem...so not something to complain about as such.
The only thing that could have been improved was the heating. It was very cold throughout the house when we arrived...I contacted the owner (who has control of the heating system) and she made sure that the heating stayed on throughout our stay. It took a fair few hours to warm through...so maybe heating the house before guests arrive would be a good idea.
The windows are not double glazed hence the coldness.
However this is not a criticism and we would not hesitate to return to this lovely house in the great little town of Barnard Castle 😊
