The managers were a real highlight, responsive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The apartment itself is modern and tastefully decorated, with a lovely blend of old and new furniture that gives it real character. The beds are very comfortable, though a couple of extra pillows would round things out nicely. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and the basics, and a little salt and pepper on hand would be a welcome finishing touch.

A few practical things worth flagging for future guests. We were told there was no lift, but there is one in the building, so having the keys available to access it would save the climb up the stairs with heavy suitcases. There's currently only one set of keys, which made coordinating with our guests tricky as they joined us for part of the trip. As a refurbished older building, it has its quirks, especially the plumbing. Water pressure runs low, which means the overhead shower switches don't quite hold and you're left with the handheld option. The water can also take a while to heat up and runs hot once it does, with limited room to adjust the temperature. The oven looked like it hadn't been cleaned before our arrival, so we left it unused. Our extra linen didn't turn up, but the managers sorted a refund quickly and without fuss.
