Spinney Wood Glamping, Oak Hut

Our Two night stay at penderyn to visit the whisky distillery lead to extra night breaks on the way back home. This hut was a great little stay at the end of our holiday. We only stayed one night but would have stayed longer if we could have. So quiet and beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. Facillities were spot on and everything we needed was there. Wifi worked brilliant. The hut was just so so cute. Great communication with Paul and Roger. We saw hares, deers, bats and squirrels in the field the hut was in which was amazing. I am a farmers daughter but this still blew me away. We will be returning as we want to do a couple of nights so we can do the walk into town which looks lovely and also the forest walk which is near by. We walked to the running horse for food which was a nice easy walk.

The place was Perfect, I just needed a brolley for some extra sun shelter as it was the 2nd scortching hot heat wave of 2026. However uk doesnt really need to worry about that much lol.

An excellent glamping hut with good views. Clean, tidy and well equipped.

Directions work OK in one direction but the site is at the end of a very small 'road' that is difficult to identify and turn into from a fairly busy road. Best to instruct that drivers turn into the pub car park and then follow the road UPHILL until its crest where the glamping site road entrance is to be found on the right (indicated by an old breakdown triangle).

The property was perfect, amazing location, it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Shower fell down a few times, bathroom slightly cramped but would make do! Would be incredible with a hot tub

Excellent location - felt right out in to countryside and yet it was close to towns, gardens and nature parks. Public footpath led from the site directly into Wyre Forest and a pub was a short walk. Very easy access on arrival with a very friendly and helpful host. The glamping hut itself had everything that was needed and the space was fine for two people. The outside facilities (chairs, tables, views, barbecues) were excellent. All the euqipment and the lay-out was high quality and well-maintained.

This is no criticism at all of an excellent holiday rental, but the conjunction of a heat wave day and a thunderstorm night did challenge the adaptability of two people in their 70's to this style of holidaying. It would be an ideal place For younger people who easily can get barbecues going, and sit into the evening whilst the inside of the hut cools down. But that's a comment on us and not the place! The owner provided a fan, the hut was fully watertight, and so everything possible was done to make our stay comfortable.
