The cottage itself was full of character, cosy and located well within the village, the host was really helpful and responsive. The property was well presented, it felt welcoming and homely.
Little things missed, broken shower rail left on one of the beds upstairs, stain on the sheet in the top upstairs bed aswell, a screw and bits in the bath. The property advertised twice parking and free parking both weren't true, us and another couple went and we both had to pay for parking, so for 2 nights it came to £24 extra (£6 each per night) which we just weren't anticipating - after looking back through the booking if I clicked into the parking and then the little info icon on the parking it did mention the property didn't specifically have parking but I think this property shouldn't be advertising parking at all as it doesn't have any and it only came up in my searches as it would have been one of my filter options.

Great communication from the owner about how to collect keys etc. Great location for Bewdley centre, lovely walk to Arley past the reservoir. Pubs in Bewdley were great, visited the real ale tavern, horn and trumpet, The Talbot and a few others - all friendly and welcoming and dog friendly. Had lovely meals at Old Bailiffs House (Pommodor Italian) and Vhujon Indian.
Parking, very limited in Bewdley but managed to find a space up the hill 5 minute walk from the cottage and didn't need to use the car from the moment we arrived to the moment we left so not really a negative as such.

Lovely quaint cottage. The beds were lovely and comfortable as good as home, slept well once asleep best beds we’ve ever slept in when away.
The road was a bit noisy it did stop after a certain time but if you are a light sleeper you may struggle. Parking was difficult we had to park in the carpark down the road.

Good location, lovely quirky property. Well equipped. Lovely touch having fresh bread and milk on arrival
The water pressure from the shower is very low.

Location was great and the pub virtually opposite was a great find.
Bed on the first floor was huge and really comfortable.
Lack of parking, not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
Get the feeling this cottage is usually occupied, lived in daily. Felt more like I was staying at someone's house where they live.
Lots of food left in the house, which felt odd, especially as freezer was completely full.
On the surface cottage appeared clean but think it could do with a real good clean.
Shower not great either, as water either runs too hot or too cold and still no shower curtain either!

The house had some great original features and the location was good. Parking is a problem and the noisy traffic was horrific at times.
Hosts need to sharpen up on details, such as a welcome pack, clothes and out of date food left in the house. It felt like we were intruding on someone else's property.
Lovely period property but the cleaning standards were terrible.
The hot water and shower was erratic and either cold or red hot.
Not for me, disappointed.

Brilliant location. Opposite a nice friendly pub that vid food.Although we didn't cook everything was there if you wanted to. Very cosy.
Could do with a handrail on stsirs as they are steep. A shower curtain would be good.

Big comfy bed
The stairs are dangerous, the rope rail needs to be tight and secure and no rail on second staircase. The gaps between the wood on landing could cause injury to a child. If children are on top floor they need light kept on so they don't come out of bedroom and fall down stairs. Lots of road noise.

It seemed like a good location close to the center of the village, but unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to experience them.
Upon arriving at the property, as we started to unpack our belongings, we began to find that the cottage had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard. The worktops had been wiped over, and the accommodation had been hoovered but once we were putting food away into the fridge, cupboards and shelves, you could see that it was dirty.
The owner's food was left in the cupboards, fridge, and freezer, along with their bedding thrown into an upstairs corner. All the drawers in the bedroom were full of the owners clothes. It felt like we were staying with somebody else.
Aside from the cleanliness issues, there was a broken internal window in the lounge area with exposed glass, screws sticking out of the dado rails in reach of young children, and exposed electricals up the stairs.
We packed up our bags and left the accommodation after around 20 minutes, we informed the owner immediately but received no response until we contacted Booking.com regarding the condition of the property.
After numerous conversations with Booking.com and after seeing the pictures we found the property in, the owner agreed to only a 50% refund.
Thankfully we have buyer protection.

The very steep staircase with only a rope attached to wall to the first floor and NO handrail at all to second floor, very , very dangerous .

Location is great. Lovely old building and everything you need.
Food was left in the fridge freezer which left us no room for ice .

The beds were so amazing and comfy - so much so we didn’t want to leave! Really clean and really quirky. Great location in beautiful Bewdley town.
Friendly host and easy to get in contact with.
Shower isn’t the best and you end up getting water everywhere as no shower curtain.

Quirky cottage in an excellent location.
Perfect for our family of 2 adults, 1 child & 1 small dog.
Great walks nearby - Wyre Forest & Ribbesford Circular Trail.
Comfortable and homely.
Would definitely return.
All great - totally different to our own home & location - we enjoyed it all :)

Location great & close proximity to the Severn Valley Railway. 10 min walk at most which involves crossing the beautiful bridge over the River Severn. Gorgeous Georgian cottage & really comfy bed & sofa. Loved the beam work but also pleasantly surprised to find I didn't bang my head once at 6ft 2 so ample ceiling height if you are tall human. Just a shame we weren't able to enjoy the space more as we were out on the railway 8am-12am for 3 days. Very clean too. Impressed with the size of the beds & bedrooms. Really good standard of kitchen with excellent drinking water too.
Slight issue with the flush function on the WC but this didn't bother us too much.

Shower wasn't great

loved the property character
shower was not a consistent temperature and only the one toilet. if it was our property I would probably look at pulling the wall down between the bath/shower and where the tumble dryer is kept to make in into a bathroom with toilet.

Very central location comfortable lounge. It had free wi fi and a lovely television. Well equipped kitchen everything that we needed. The first bedroom was very comfortable. The owner was very helpful and friendly over the telephone.
Three storey property which we didn’t realise when booking ........the stairs were very steep with only a rope to hold onto third storey leading to the second bedroom was inaccessible for us as my husband has poor mobility and couldn’t manage the stairs.
No parking area by the property. Not really dog friendly right on a very busy main road and only a small back yard.

Location is excellent for town centre and access to river. The narrow street was surprisingly busy at times, but quiet at night. The cottage is warm and cosy, and has aged gracefully. Lovely old oak stairs, some creakier than others. First floor bedroom good size, second floor bedroom smaller but decent size. After a day out, a great place for watching TV or eating at the pub over the road. Owner is clearly a pet lover.
Bathroom arrangements - WC and basin on 1st floor, bath on 2nd floor, with mixer shower which was hard to get to right temperature. Steep stairs and no handrail on second flight, so not good if there are any mobility issues. Sitting room focussed on 54" TV, rather full of sofa and large coffee table.

The cottage was very neat and tidy and ideal for a family of 4. Checking in and out was easy. It is an ideal location as near the town centre and close to Tenbury Wells. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to going back.
Only concern was the heating system as water was too hot at handle
