Grand chalet max 9pl vue magnifique lac montagne

The Chalet is lovely, with plenty of space both inside and outside, a very cosy dwelling with majestic view of the mountains. The common area downstairs has lots of boardgames (Dixit and Wingspan even!), the TV and big table to sit the entire company. We didn't use it, but there's even barbecue grill. The garden around the house is very pleasant, sometimes visited by a friendly neighbourhood cat. It was also easy to dry the laundry in the summer because of the laundry ropes set up in the garden. Virginie, who welcomed us into the chalet, was very nice and explained stuff we weren't sure about through WhatsApp. We don't speak French but it wasn't too difficult with the help of Google translate. The owners were also flexible with the check out time so we could go directly for the bus and not wait in the full sun for a long time, very grateful! We had a lot of fun and would come again!

On the first day we had trouble figuring out how to close the door with the key (it's the the type you need to rise the handle up to be able to turn the key fully) - however the host explained it through Whatsapp and all was well in the end. Maybe this could be included in the guest manual just in case! There isn't any AC so it can get hot, especially since we arrived in the middle of the June heatwave - we managed by leaving the windows wide open at night. If you're without the car, on the weekends and in the late evenings the closest bus stop is about 25 minutes away on foot. We came for the Annecy festival so the commute did take some figuring out.
