Rangitoto Retreat Raglan

Wow was the main expression when we first arrived at Rangitoto Retreat. The retreat is an incredible accommodation; well designed and every last detail has been thought of. It is rustic, full of love , comfort and a place for both exploration and relaxation. We are 4 female friends who work in healthcare in high demand and pressured roles and we booked away for 2 nights (we wish it had been more). Totally what we all needed to be in such a tranquil and reenergising environment. This place would be ideal for a women’s retreat! The spa and the sauna were a treat and totally relaxed us with an amazing view over the ocean and the scenery is breath taking. We also took the side by side down to the beach and the bay and braved a winters morning dip! There is a cold shower outside also so was able to hot and cold contrast should that be your thing. Tash is an amazing host and had thought of all details from coffee to wine and cheese, to the fire having been going for a while along with the candles and as soon we walked in we we felt at peace. Location was pretty easy to navigate, we drove and the gravel road leading to the retreat is in good conditions and we saw mamma goats and her babies. We all had the best time and we’ll def be going again in the future.❤️

We stayed here as a group of 6 and it was amazing. There was wine and cheese upon our arrival and the retreat was immaculately presented. The decor was like a very high end lodge, living areas and beds so comfortable. We loved the indoor fireplace and soaking in the spa pool with our wine while watching the sunset was incredible. We had use of the side-by-side ATV so we could explore the beach and bay and surrounding area - like being on our own outback adventure. We loved our stay and the hosts were super helpful and accomodating. We have told lots of people about our experience here and will definately be back. Natasha and Greig went out of their way to make us feel very welcomed. They personally collected us from Raglan in their Sealegs amphibious boat and chartered us across to their beautiful property. The trip over by boat was a definite highlight with Greig giving us a history lesson of the area and the local tangata whenua. Upon arrival at the Retreat, we were blown away with the accommodation and the wonderful views of the coastline. We had use of the ATV to get around the property and access the beaches, which was loads of fun. Natasha provided us with a delicious dinner on the first night with ingredients all sourced locally. The property is absolutely stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!!

What a spectacular weekend away! The fireplace (and not to mention the great wood) was just what we needed in the cold winter, and the spa pool view was the pinnacle of relaxation. The hosts were awesome too! Exceeded our expectations by a long mile! It's absolutely beautiful and we even drove down to the beach to pick our own mussels.

Coming home. Could easily have stayed longer.
