Chose this hotel as they advertise having a pool and spa, and elaborate on this in their listing “come take a refreshing splash in our pool morning or night” and “relax in our soothing spa”. Was looking forward to both as I have back issues and wanted the break from gravity that both provide.
So I check in, head to the pool - and it’s covered and sealed. With about a year’s worth of garbage on the cover. And the hot tub was empty.
Additionally when I arrived the clerk tried to run my card again when I’d already paid through Agoda. Thankfully I moved my funds to savings as I’ve encountered this before. But he then demanded more money in cash. Not a lot or I would have walked, but he offered no receipt and wouldn’t show me the screen he claimed showed I owed an additional amount.
Spend the extra $5-$10 bucks and go elsewhere. I would have if I had known.
