Comfort Inn & Suites Spokane Valley Central

Honestlyi turned my stay from one night to four so I obviously liked it. They’ve changed some things over the year. No more chili. No more companion fish. The place has many good staff, great parking, clean rooms, nice AC and a decent pool and hot tub. The breakfast could use some updating. They scrambled eggs were watery. I had hoped for biscuits and gravy or a potato product as most places are offering those these days. I used the tv on my third day and it wouldn’t find the input. I didn’t want to deal with the staff so I just used my laptop instead. And that is the bigger issue. Night staff. One young gentleman was working hard and was engaging but the other, who was in a suit jacket, seemed like he wasn’t working that night. He was behind the counter but wasn’t engaging and worse he spent time in the lobby throwing a ball against the wall while their were guests walking through. Again all of the rest of the staff were helpful and great. That gentleman though… he needs training or to find another job. He didn’t represent the hotel in a manner that was professional even with the suit jacket. I know they say dress for the job you want but they also mean work like you have that job too. Like I said, overall a great hotel and a great value.

Very Clean, up to date with a great location.

I used to love staying at this hotel along with my teenage daughter and enjoyed the 24-hour swimming pool. You have stayed here so many times and had such great experiences until this last year when we've tried to stay the number of times and every day was horrible and by horrible I mean absolutely terrible. The location always works for us the best because we are from the area and just trying to get a little staycation since we've moved and are taken care of my parents. We have to be close by but it's nice to be in your own space. With that being said we've met the staff we know the staff very well until lately, they've had some staffing changes and it seems to be a management change which came with a quality change. This is not a comfortable place to stay and they're guaranteed for cleanliness is a joke. For the first time we stayed on the bottom floor which is near the pool and not only did we find cobwebs and spiders in the curtains but my daughter ended up finding a injection needle underneath the nightstand by the bed. We did not find that till the 2nd night nonetheless we found it and it was horrifying because we're supposed to have our friend over who had a baby under one who had just learned to crawl. Thank goodness they did not come. They said they'd make it up to us yet we didn't ever get the refund that we were supposed to get and upgrading our room isn't much of a compensation for what could possibly been a much worse situation nor did anybody ever explain to us why there was a needle in our room if somebody had cleaned it before we got there. The next time we stayed was again worse through this time their breakfast has went down tremendously in quality taste and options but this second horrible visit included them letting somebody in my room and pack up all my belongings and take that with them even though the night before they wouldn't let my daughter get a new key card as they see me sitting in the car right in front of the entrance doors when I waved they told me that that was not allowed even though they see me I had to come in even though I had someone ankles and it was very hard for me I said okay if that's the policy then that's what it is but the next day they literally let people come in and take all my stuff. This is absolutely bizarre to me when I came in later that day I was asking them where my stuff was and the guy at the front desk had no idea he had to make numerous phone calls to find out where it was. I had went to the hospital the night before and had given some people $100 to rebook my room knowing I wasn't going to be able to make it back and I did not have my phone available to call instead those people just kept $100 and took all my stuff. Nobody even tried to call my phone. They've been offered to make any of that up by refund free room nothing and when I tried to address it again later nobody was ever available they did not answer their phone and the manager went out of his way to avoid me. The last time I stayed there because it was late at night I did not have a lot of options after they had taken my money they chose to tell me they did not want to rent to me and that I was on the do not rent list after they took my money. This place is very shady it's a two-star hotel acting like a four-star hotel given one star hotel service I would not recommend it by any means. There's way better places for a lot less money even in the same choice hotel Network. I definitely stayed there too too many times I should have stopped when I had a bad experience the first time because second and third chances are not needed for this place
