The sweet, chocolate-dipped fruits come from Porreres and the popular restaurant L'Escrivania offers many tantalising, typically Mallorcan dishes on the menu. In Llucmajor, don't forget to have an espresso at the historic Café Colón in Plaza España. Almond croissants from Campos will end up in your picnic basket. The south coast from Sa Ràpita to Cala Santanyí will put all its paradisiacal beaches on the table. Don't worry: sugar can easily be converted into pure energy on the climb up the 542 metre-high Puig de Randa monastery. Those who find their happiness on horseback can do so on holiday at the Caballo Blanco riding stables, just 1 km from the villa. Live in luxury, just 20 minutes from Palma: The newly built Villa Can Marcos with modern, high-quality furnishings and a large pool is situated in an idyllic and absolutely peaceful location in the hills between Porreres and Montuïri. You can do a little shopping here (and also at the weekly farmers' market), but for a wider selection and greater enjoyment you will have to drive to Llucmajor and Manacor; or armed with a filled picnic basket in Campos, you can continue on to Mallorca's dream beaches in the south, such as Ex Trenc and Sa Ràpita, which are around 30 km away.
