Welcome to the Ockenswarft—surrounded by open spaces, tranquility, and North Frisian nature. Look forward to relaxing days in a secluded setting, with plenty of space to breathe deeply and unwind.
The Austernfischer vacation rental is located on Ockenswarft in a completely secluded setting, right on the outer dike of Nordstrand. The property underwent extensive and comprehensive renovations in 2024 and 2025 and is nestled in the open landscape of the Trendermarsch. Meadows and fields stretch out behind the house, and the North Sea lies beyond the dike.
You reach the “Austernfischer” vacation rental via an outdoor staircase. It accommodates up to four adults and three children and features a modern, clean design and an open floor plan. Large windows provide plenty of natural light and enhance the airy feel of the space.
The apartment has two bedrooms with double beds measuring 180 × 200 centimeters and 160 × 200 centimeters. One of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom with a nearly floor-level shower. A cozy reading nook complements this room and offers a quiet retreat. Additionally, there is a sleeping loft under the roof with two futon beds, which is particularly suitable for children, teenagers, or experienced climbers. Access is via a narrow, steep staircase that is openly integrated into the living space.
The spacious living area has an open layout and combines living, dining, and cooking spaces. The kitchen is bright, features a window, and has everything you need for self-catering on vacation, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, freezer space, and washing machine. A cozy couch, a dining table, and a smart TV create a central gathering spot for spending time together. From the living area, you can step out onto the balcony with a view of the dike.
Another modern shower room rounds out the apartment’s amenities and is generously sized with ample storage space. The apartment also features a fully furnished south-facing sun terrace that invites you to relax outdoors. A lockable bike storage room with a power outlet for e-bikes is available, as well as a charging station for electric cars at the building.
Bedding and towels can be booked as an optional extra.
For larger travel groups or friends traveling together, the “Seehund” apartment is located in the same building and can accommodate two additional guests.
Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
