About this house rental
The three levels
The main entrance and the garage—which offers additional direct access to the house—are located on the middle level. From the spacious gallery, the view extends through the large window front to the surrounding greenery on one side and down to the lower living level on the other. In addition to an extra bathroom with a walk-in shower on this level, a staircase leads from here to both the upper and lower floors.
The entire vacation home is equipped with radiant floor heating.
Living Area & Kitchen
The open-concept living and kitchen area in the basement features a fully equipped kitchenette with a large dining table that seats up to 6 people. Opposite is a cozy seating area with a fireplace. This is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of activities—and on cooler days, you can enjoy a crackling fire in the fireplace. The entire living and kitchen area is flooded with light thanks to the large windows and the glass door offering a view of the “green living room.”
Patio & Garden
Since the house is situated on a gentle slope, the basement is on the same level as the small garden area at the back of the house. From the living-kitchen area, there is direct access to the garden and the paved terrace. Here, you can wind down the evening under the open sky, sheltered from prying eyes, with a glass of wine. From the patio, you look out onto the “Dippe Garden,” which is flanked at the rear by the millrace and bordered by a barn. The Dippe brothers were among the famous seed-breeding luminaries of 19th-century Quedlinburg.
Bedrooms
On the upper floor, there are three bedrooms, each with a double bed. From the bedroom on the Wassertorstraße side, you can see the imposing collegiate church perched on its sandstone cliff and get a sense of how imposing the castle hill must have seemed to the “common folk.”
Bathroom & Plumbing
The upper floor is complemented by a modern bathroom with a walk-in, spacious, open shower.
Traffic & Parking
The cobblestone alleys around the Schlossberg are only partially accessible by car and are used almost exclusively by residents, so there is no need to worry about traffic noise. Our guests can park their cars directly in the garage built into the house. Such a convenient parking option is a rarity in the medieval streets and houses of Quedlinburg!
