Westerlodge

The cottage is in a great location close to Keswick in a small quiet village and with views of the fells. It was extremely clean, very well equipped.and comfortable. We loved the big picture windows with couches in the bay to enjoy the views and the birds in the super garden. Also a nice almost level garden at the back to sit in and enjoy when the sun is out. Plenty of parking for 3 cars. Pubs in very short walking distance. The host provided small stocks of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, seasonings and dog bowls! which was a pleasant welcome.We didn't want to leave.

Care needs to be taken in the main bathroom as the shower screen lets the water out onto the floor. Also the insufficient heating in the second bathroom meant it didn't get used. Guests should be aware the drive way up to the house is very steep. The house itself is all on one floor but disabled guests will not be able to come and go from the house without a car.
