Garden Cottage

Garden Cottage is a beautiful and very old building with plenty of original features. It is, however, also fully equipped with mod cons. The location is superb - Blencathra is basically just behind the cottage. For keen walkers it is absolutely perfect

Nothing of any significance

In the perfect spot! Comfortable & spacious.

This was my first visit to the Lake District and I must say I was not disappointed. This cottage is amazing, it is in such a beautiful location with private garden and views of the hills. There wasn't one thing I can say I would change. There were 5 adults and a dog on our trip and none of us felt like we were on top of each other there is so much space, it is quite deceiving from the outside. The cottage provides everything you can think of while keeping the cottagey feel to it but modern touches run throughout. Lovely big kitchen and living room with real log burner. 3 good size bedrooms and family bathroom and extra toilet downstairs, there is even a utility room with washing machine, sink and area for drying wet clothes. The village is spotless and so peaceful and quiet with little walks all around the area featuring streams and picnic areas and 2 pubs serving food, a little coffee shop and village hall. It is situated about 5 miles out of Keswick so ideal for a run out. I cannot wait to book again and would love to go back in the winter months when we can get the log burner fired up.
