The Harbour Loft | Sleeps 6 | Central Folkestone

Great location. Short walk from the train station, central in the town and literally around the corner from the Creative Quarter and the harbour. Surrounded by coffee shops, cute boutique shops and bars. The apartment was very clean with cool decor and a modern finish.

The two bed apartment was perfect for our family of five. All very clean and nicely furnished. Everything seemed new, so pristine. Plenty of crockery, cutlery. Tea,coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, shampoo etc all provided. Great location - walking distance from Folkstone Central Station, less than fifteen minutes walk to the beach, and the Harbour Arm, lovely independent shops and eating places in the ‘creative quarter’. Lidl three minutes walk! Easy to find - Master William’s Place is above Bon Marché. Recommend the tapas bar ‘El Cortador’. Couldn’t get into The Pullman - need to book in advance - looked lovely.

Could have done with olive oil, salt & pepper, corkscrew and in that heatwave, a fan would have helped.

The decor of the property was nice and modern and clean

Access to the property was not clear and not identified as accessed via a pedestrianised street mostly closed off by barriers! Lift was OUT OF ORDER 3 out of our 4 days making it extremely difficult for my 72 year old mother in law!!! No way to report it to get it fixed. Heating came on on last day and no instructions for how to use or turn off the central heating system! 🥵 Windows throughout the property would not close - not very secure! No bottle opener. Dirty mop and water and very messy store cupboard found when looking for iron and ironing board
