Cowgate's Little Hideout

The location

It was definitely not easy to find. Myself and the cab driver tried for 30 minutes to find it. The door has no number on it and it is behind a wall. The owner was completely unresponsive and did not answer his/her phone. I had to sit around with my luggage for 3 hours before the timer opened the door. I asked to check in earlier 2 days before the time and the owner did not respond. The same thing happened on the day I left. My flight was cancelled. I asked by email if I can check out later and I phoned. NO response from the owner. This is unacceptable. I will not recommend this place to anyone. There is no free TV channel. You have to pay for everything.

el departamento en si, es hermoso, todo nuevo, no falta nada, comodo amplio . Es facil llegar hasta la calle con el GPS , no es facil encontrar la puerta de entrada al mismo , esta en una calle ciega, detras de una pared q disimula la puerta de accesos. Tiene tambien entrada por la otra calle, seria mas facil entrar por ahi. El espacio para dejar el coche seria amplio si no estuviera estacionado una auto de un lado las 24 hs del dia, y del otra lado contra la pared hay un andamio que esta hace bastante tiempo segun me indico la vecina que me presto una noche una cochera . Recien el segundo dia puede ir y con ayuda para no tocar el auto contra nada pudimos guardarlo donde corresponde. No esta marcada la cochera con nro como las otras cuatro de al lado. en concreto excelente apartamento con escacio guardacoches, mi recomendacion seria llegar de dia , y si cambia la puerta de entrada seria mejor.

el acceso por primera vez al departamento, falta ponerle cartel con nro a la puerta , esta detras de una pared ..., Tiene otra puerta de entrada que es un poc mas accesible caminando. el parking , cohcera abierta, e tiene en uno de sus lados un andamio de otro edificio y te achica mucho la entrada. Tenes q realizar muchas manionbras poniendote debajo del andamio con el auto, y esperar que a nadie se le caiga nda encima del auto. En mi caso el auto q esta en la cochara nro 4, nunca salio de ese lugar, la 5 seria la q corresponde, no esta indicada con nro. como corresponderia.

Sehr gute Lage. Wohnung war gemütlich, es war alles da, was man brauchte. Sehr ordentlich.

1. Die Adresse ist eigentlich Robertson's Close 20, da ist der Vordereingang. In der angegeben Adresse findet man nur hinter einer Mauer den Hintereingang, sehr versteckt, da kommt man auch rein, aber mit Koffer nicht so praktisch. 2. Es war frisch in der Wohnung und die Heizung ging nicht an. Erst auf Nachfrage war herauszufinden, dass die Heizung erst zentral angeschaltet werden muss, die Steuerung war in einem Wandschrank zu finden, der bei uns jedoch abgeschlossen war und sich nur mit einem Schlüssel von einem anderen Schrank öffnen ließ. Alles kompliziert. Man könnte es den Gästen etwas einfacher machen und solche Standard-Infos irgendwo aufschreiben. 3. Vielleicht noch einen zweiten Nachtschrank und Lampe am Bett bereitstellen.

The location was great. The facilities it provided to use were perfect while you’ve been travelling a few days.

It was noisy - it’s on quite a busy close so lots of people noise as they walk past. You can hear the upstairs neighbours and the downstairs neighbours boiler sounds like it’s in the cupboard right next to the bed. It’s also behind a restaurant so the staff bringing rubbish outside and tipping it in bins multiple times an evening and then standing outside smoking, so you could smell that too. Overall very noisy, I’d say the quietest times were from midnight till about 5-6am 😖 The bedroom was very bright - lights from neighbouring properties shone right into the room. The bed was horrible! A spring mattress on a slat bed 😟 not good at all. Other things - there were no cloths or tea towels. No sort of essential kitchen items for cooking like oil etc and no washing detergent for the washing machine - kinda silly to book an apartment and have to go and buy everything. Also, it’s free parking but make sure you’re a confident reverser and have a relatively small car otherwise you’ll have a hard time parking.
