Yzer Drift Beach Escape 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Apartment

10/10 – My new favourite place to stay on the West Coast My partner and I had the best time here Yzerfontein is already one of my favourite places, with its beautiful beaches, working harbour and relaxed small town atmosphere, and this accommodation fits perfectly into that experience. The location couldn’t be better. Everything is within easy walking distance the beach, harbour, restaurants and shops which makes it incredibly convenient and means you can leave the car parked for most of your stay. The accommodation itself was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, with a lovely coastal feel throughout. It had everything I needed and felt like a home away from home. One of the highlights was definitely the braai area. We lit the fire at sunset and spent the evening outside enjoying the atmosphere. The lighting created such a special ambience and made for one of those memorable moments that stays with you long after you’ve left. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

“Exactly what a great family short stay should be” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 Stayed here recently with my partner and our two little ones and honestly couldn’t fault it. The photos show exactly what it has to offer. The open plan kitchen is absolutely beautiful and my wife, who loves to cook, was completely at home in it. Everything she needed for a short stay was there and she made the most of every bit of it. We weren’t exactly booking a Michelin-star chef residency, and even if we were, I think she would have chosen this kitchen. The bedding was comfortable and well fitted across the board. The whole family had some of the best sleep we’ve had in a while actually. Two tired kids knocked out instantly, which says everything. The braai area with the sliding windows was the real gem though. Perfect setup for family evenings together. What really makes this place special is the location, walking distance to the harbour and a gorgeous little private beach, with shops nearby for groceries and takeaways. Everything you actually need is right on your doorstep. Yzerfontein is already a beautiful little town, but this place might just be the prettiest spot in it. Sometimes you just need to arrive with the right mindset and let a place speak for itself, this one did plenty of talking. Would recommend without hesitation for families. Will definitely be back when we in the Western Cape. 🙌
