Yzerfontein, on the west coast, is a gem to visit.
The property is an old family home that was devised into bedrooms with some shared and some en-suite units.
There is a lovely garden area with Grill facility.
Depending on the room - beautiful views of the sea.
Bedrooms was spacious.
An equipped communal kitchen and lounge area.. can well believe that visiting the property in the stormy winter months can be very cosy.
Mark, the host, was friendly. We were given vouchers to enjoy breakfast in town. Great breakfast choice!
The property takes getting use to. It is not a B&B in the traditional sense of the word.
The rooms was not cleaned as we were not sure about the security to leave the rooms unlock, or maybe there was no clean up service .. not to be rated negative because we chose so!
The room locks could be changed .

The amazing view
No on-site breakfast facilities. Not sure if that’s a temporary situation, but breakfast is offered (with a voucher from the hotel) at a nice cafeteria a few minutes drive away.
