About this cabin rental
The cabin features a large raised deck with a hot tub, an outdoor BBQ hut, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy sitting room with smart TV, a serene bedroom with plush linens and robes, and a bathroom with both a bath and dual shower.
Nestled in a secluded woodland glade, around 100 yards from its sister lodges, Wildcat and Woodcock, it offers complete privacy and is surrounded by rich wildlife and rolling green countryside. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy walking, cycling, and boating from the doorstep. History surrounds the area, with Kilmichael Glen’s ancient standing stones and burial cairns, while the Kilmartin Museum brings local heritage to life.
Nearby, Lochgilphead offers shops, cafés, restaurants, and a charming pub, plus venison from the neighbouring estate. The lodge is designed for couples, so we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 years, although we happily welcome babes in arms.
Pine Marten is a cosy Canadian-style log cabin crafted from red cedar, offering a romantic retreat for couples — dogs are warmly welcomed, with a bed, treats, bowl, and towel provided. The elevated deck features a hot tub for unwinding amid the peaceful woodland, and a nearby BBQ hut and seating area make alfresco meals under the stars a delight. Inside, the cabin offers a modern kitchen, cosy sitting room with smart TV, and a bedroom with luxurious linens and plush robes.
The lodge is surrounded by wildlife, including deer, red squirrels, pine martens, and soaring eagles. Guests can meet the lodge’s friendly donkeys, Sam and Rodney. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the miles of hiking trails, scenic cycling routes, and nearby boating opportunities through some of Scotland’s most stunning landscapes.
History is woven into the area: Kilmichael Glen features ancient standing stones, carved rocks, and burial cairns, while the Kilmartin Museum brings 12,000 years of heritage to life. Dunadd Hillfort, once the capital of Dál Riata, offers breathtaking panoramic views.
Food lovers are well catered for, with fresh venison from the neighbouring estate, local seafood, and excellent restaurants and cafés in Lochgilphead. An inviting pub is just 10 minutes’ away offering delicious food and a warm welcome. Pine Marten combines luxury, privacy, outdoor adventure, and gourmet delights for an unforgettable Scottish escape.
