Kelpie is a family-friendly lodge resting on the bay in Craobh Haven near Ardfern, Argyll and Bute and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.
The Space:
The living areas in the all-ground-floor property includes an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, a dining area with seating for four guests, and a sitting area with a TV. The bedrooms consist of a double with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bunk bed, along with a bathroom. Outside, there is a decking area overlooking the bay with furniture, and off-road parking for one car. Within 2.9 miles, you will find a shop, and within 0.4, a pub. Two well-behaved pets are welcome; however, smoking is not permitted. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. A highchair is available on request. Kelpie offers a homely, rural retreat in the wilds of Argyll and Bute. Note: The decking may become slippery when wet, please take care. Note: The lodge is located next to the owner's property and the owners can organise boat trips for guests. This property only accepts weekly bookings starting on a Friday
The Neighborhood:
Ardfern is a scenic coastal village on Scotland's Craignish Peninsula, in the magnificent and dramatic Argyll region. Ardfern is an ancient village with evidence of inhabitants reaching back to 600 AD, with a wrecked church on the Peninsula dating from the 12th century. Today, the village has a pub, a shop, a craft centre, a tearoom, and a marina, all of which are conveniently located for sailing off the west coast. Craobh Haven has a second marina, and the towns of Lochgilphead and Oban are worth a visit.
