The apartment matched the photos and was a good size. It was well located in the town and very quiet. The hot water worked well, and the kitchen was well equipped. It also had Wi-Fi, although we didn’t use it.

We paid an extra fee for check-in at 1 PM, and the host accepted this time. However, we were then told the apartment would not be ready until 2 PM. We arrived around 1:30 PM and it was still dirty from the previous guests, with their used towels and bedsheets still there. We could only leave our bags, and the cleaner arrived just as we were leaving. So we paid for an early check-in and did not get it. We were told we would receive check-in details the day before arrival, but never did. We had to contact Booking.com customer service to get the key code, only one hour before the scheduled check-in time. Even after the apartment was cleaned, it was still not clean: there was a hair in the bathroom sink and a used toothbrush in the shower. The toilet was old and stained brown at the bottom. The shower gel and kitchen detergent were almost empty and had not been refilled. The lock on the front door also seemed to be damaged by water, so the door was only closed with a slide bolt at the top. Despite the renovation, several parts of the apartment were still old and visibly dirty. Given the rating, we expected much better.
